“Important note: NBC`s directive is that workers covered by oversized human service agreements or agreements are not necessarily or automatically entitled to the annual wage increases mentioned above. If you have negotiated an oversized agreement or a personal services agreement, you should be aware of this business philosophy and discuss with your supervisor an annual salary increase. The agreement contains a number of economic and beneficial improvements for workers represented by NABET-CWA. Over the next three years, the overall wage supply will be 8% of the increases (3%, 2.5% and 2.5%) and will come into force during the first full pay period after ratification. Notable benefits for day workers include an increase in the daily payment of benefits as well as an increase in the company`s contribution to the 401 (k) day lease plan. The package also provides for an increase in the “travel-only” payment for daily rents – USD 4 per hour over the duration of the contract. In addition, legitimate staff and staff recruited daily receive ratification bonuses of between $500 and $1,000. The NABET-CWA Network Negotiating Committee has reached a preliminary agreement with NBC Universal for a new contract to replace the master`s contract that expired on March 31, 2018. . We anticipate that this data will be reviewed shortly and that salary increases will be available in the next salary cycle on the pay cheque issued on April 26, 2019. Regardless of when your paycheck is issued, employees eligible for a pay increase will see the 3% increase effective on the day and retroactive to April 1, 2019. The new contract, if ratified, will cover all NABET-CWA members at NBCU, including nearly 3,000 employees and employees per day who work as radio technicians in studios and on the field for NBC News, NBC Sports and NBC Entertainment.
The Master Agreement also covers building maintenance, air conditioning and facility maintenance personnel, staging service personnel and couriers at various network companies and television stations in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington D.C. Once ratified, the new treaty expires on March 31, 2022. Most full-time and day employees receive their salary increase and ratification bonus (for eligible workers) on the pay cheque to be spent on Friday, April 26, 2019.
